It’s providing insight that will help drive us forward

It’s being trusted to deliver. And it's playing a vital role in helping millions enjoy magnificent buildings and works of art. This is what makes working for the Royal Collection so different.

Through our permanent and seasonal shops, and a growing eCommerce business, our retail operation generates revenue that is directly invested into the care and conservation of the Royal Collection.

Reporting to the Head of Central Retail, you’ll provide vital analytical financial insight that will help improve the sales and profitability of the retail operation.

You’ll deliver regular reporting commentary to our teams, helping them make informed business decisions to push profitability in each branch.

You’ll look at monthly key financial indicators, from store performances, to monitoring costs and stock reconciliations, highlighting key areas of focus for the coming months.

Through scenario modelling and detailed analysis you’ll help support on a variety of programmes, from business cost reduction to putting forward business cases for new ranges or store layouts.

You’ll become a key source of knowledge for the department, working with colleagues across all sites and functions. You’ll work with them on forecasting and budget planning, as well as responding to queries and providing expert advice that will shape the future of our Retail operations.

The variety of the role will stretch you. And by increasing profitability, you’ll in turn be helping Royal Collection Trust meet our charitable aims.

You’ll be a qualified Accountant (or working towards your qualifications), with some grounding experience in management accounts and financial analysis, including reconciliations, accruals & prepayments.

With a strong understanding of business and strategic issues, your existing commercial acumen will set you apart from other candidates.

A background in Retail is essential, along with an understanding of monitoring KPIs across multiple outlets and revenues.

A natural communicator and collaborator, you’ll be confident partnering with senior managers to influence financial strategy, and appropriately challenge and advise budget holders, building credibility at all levels.

Organised and pro-active, with lots of initiative and an ability to work at pace, you'll juggle a varied workload, in a deadline-driven environment.

You’ll also have strong IT skills, particularly with Excel, and with a keen attention to detail you always deliver work with faultless accuracy.

Finally, with proactive approach to work, and solution focused mindset you’ll become a highly valued member of the Retail team.
