It's supporting this incredible business to make it safe for all

It’s knowing that your work matters more. And it's providing insight and support that takes the whole household forward. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

As well as being the professional business behind the monarchy, the Royal Household welcomes thousands of people every year to world class events and the public openings of state rooms at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and The Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Joining a professional Health and Safety Team, your challenge will be to maintain effective health and safety practice throughout the organisation, supporting a safe environment across all our sites.

Supporting a culture of Health and Safety, you'll assist departments with their strategies, procedures and practical training needs.

You'll undertake workplace inspections and risk assessments, and with relevant, up-to-date policy advice, you'll make recommendations to alleviate risk.

You'll also receive, examine and log accident reports, ensuring that health and safety performance is accurately monitored.

It's an organisation with a truly diverse spectrum of roles and working environments. Be it an office, kitchen, stable or garden, you'll help to drive a healthy and safe culture and will also be on hand to provide support at events.

And the results of your work will impact the daily work of everyone across the household.

A qualified professional, you'll have a relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or similar).

Your previous experience in an advisory role, and knowledge of statutory compliance and risk, means you'll be confident putting forward recommendations for improvement.

Highly organised and results driven, you'll be able to co-ordinate your varied workload across locations and meet multiple deadlines.

You’re a logical and innovative problem solver too, able to suggest pragmatic solutions and keep calm under pressure.

With a naturally collaborative approach, you can quickly build positive relationships with colleagues and external contractors alike.

Your eye for detail and command of relevant IT programs will be important when writing reports.

Above all, you'll have pro-active and flexible attitude, and enjoy working within a small team.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch provided, with training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.
