It’s knowing the part you’ve played in delivering exceptional events

It's the sheer variety of challenges you'll face. And it’s presenting ceremonial activities that are enjoyed and valued by millions. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Office manages a broad range of official, ceremonial events throughout the year.

Joining this dedicated team, you’ll help organise and deliver some truly unique occasions, including Investitures, Garden Parties and State Visits.

Liaising with colleagues and external official bodies, you’ll assist with the detailed research and planning of events.

You’ll be at the heart of our operations, working alongside our operational teams on the day to ensure every event is delivered to the highest of standards.

From diary management and coordinating travel, to website updates, you’ll also provide administrative support to the team.

Keeping up with a busy schedule will be critical. The standards you’ll aim for will provide the biggest challenge, and the greatest reward.

With previous administrative experience, and with knowledge of planning events to a high standard, you'll be passionate about further developing your career in this field.

Driven by deadlines and with exceptional organisational skills, you're able to think on your feet and adapt in the moment to handle multiple priorities with ease.

With natural interpersonal skills you'll be confident liaising with a wide range of people and organisations at all levels. Approachable and customer focused, you're able to build good working relationships, and balancing their varying needs effectively will ensure your success.

IT literate, with excellent written communication and numeracy skills, you apply meticulous attention to every detail and ensure accuracy in all you do.

Some practical knowledge of the Offices of State, the Church and the Military would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Most importantly, with a flexible approach you'll enjoy working as part of a team to deliver exceptional results.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility to increase contributions or draw down as salary) and support for your continued professional development.
