It's bringing future generations closer to a fascinating past

It’s developing future ambassadors. And it’s the satisfaction of interpreting and presenting one of the world’s greatest art collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

Unique in both quality and diversity, the Royal Collection has a fascinating history, and our Learning Section is responsible for sharing its stories with the broadest possible audience.

As Head of Learning, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an illuminating and informative interpretation and education programme, for our visitors across the Royal Palaces.

With strategic and creative leadership, you will develop and implement our Learning vision in line with the organisation’s charitable and strategic aims.

Your strong relationships with local and national partners across the cultural sector and beyond will be key to your success. You'll collaborate to uncover new opportunities and look to extend the reach and diversity of our offer.

We aim to deliver the exceptional every day and it permeates into everything we do. Whilst ensuring the team is motivated to deliver their best, you’ll plan ahead, managing the programming budget and evaluating and reporting on its success.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across Royal Collection Trust to identify new learning opportunities and to harness the best of new technologies to develop our interpretive resources in order to increase access, understanding, and engagement with the Royal Collection.

We don't stand still here and we will welcome your ideas. Using your professional expertise you'll make an impact from day one.

An expert in your field, with significant experience working in a visitor-facing environment and a passion for delivering innovative public programming, you’re ready to make an impact.

You're a strategic thinker and have a breadth of experience developing immersive and entertaining learning programmes, ideally within an arts or heritage environment.

As a confident communicator and networker, with excellent interpersonal skills, you build strong, lasting relationships, and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experienced at leading projects, with initiative and self-motivation, you'll juggle a varied workload with ease, effectively balancing strategic and operational priorities.

A capable and experienced people manager, you're able to lead, develop and inspire an ambitious team.

With experience of drawing up budgets and reports, and with excellent written skills, you'll be keen to utilise data to create clear and meaningful evaluations.

Above all, you'll have a customer focus in all you do, which will be the driving force in developing our programme, widening our learning offer and attracting new audiences.

This is your opportunity to use your passion for learning to deliver the exceptional.
