Buckingham Palace is currently undergoing a ten-year programme of works to overhaul the palace's infrastructure wing-by-wing - including electrical cabling, plumbing and heating - for the first time since the 1950's. A dedicated in-house Programme Management Office is overseeing the delivery of this project, to ensure the building is fit for purpose for the next 50 years.

Joining the Project Controls Team within the PMO, you’ll be responsible for driving and developing the Reservicing Programme’s business intelligence solutions and ensuring the integrity of the data we hold.

You’ll manage all PMO software applications such as Power BI and Azure and be responsible for the gathering and analysing of progress and performance data.

PMO Directors and Project Managers will look to you provide timely, quality and accurate management information which will inform key decision making critical to the success of the Reservicing Programme.

As ‘super user’ and systems administrator, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the nature and quality of the data is in line with their requirements but also that the team are trained and competent to use the software and tools available.

You’ll produce a range of scheduled and ad hoc reports and dashboards, always ensuring you present data in a meaningful way and provide any necessary commentary and insights.

Whether troubleshooting problems, maintaining relevant system security, or configuring a wide range of devices and applications, you’ll help ensure that our services are fully reliable.

We don’t stand still here; we continually evaluate and review our current technologies. So you’ll also have the opportunity to lead and support projects that deliver a range of improvements to our systems.

With extensive experience within a Business Analytics or Financial environment and a confident user of MS Tools including Excel, Power Query, SharePoint, Power BI, Data Modelling, Azure – you’re the expert we need.

You may have worked within on a construction programme previously, or you’ll be motivated by the opportunity to apply your relevant skills, experience and qualifications to a fast paced construction environment.

 A natural communicator and collaborator used to partnering senior managers to influence and appropriately challenge and advise you'll hit the ground running, building credibility at all levels.

Your reporting and data analytics skills are second-to-none, as is your experience using and implementing project controls systems.

You’ll also have excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail, along with an ability to produce work and reports for a range of audiences, including board level.

With excellent troubleshooting skills, you’re a logical and innovative problem solver, able to suggest pragmatic solutions and keep calm under pressure.

What's more, you're highly organised, able to systematically manage and prioritise tasks to meet varied needs and deadlines.
