It's supporting the team who will preserve the palace for future generations

It’s being encouraged to gain new skills. And it's joining the professional business behind the monarchy. This is part of what makes working for The Royal Household exceptional.

Buckingham Palace is currently undergoing a ten-year programme of works to overhaul the palace's infrastructure wing-by-wing - including electrical cabling, plumbing and heating - for the first time since the 1950's. A dedicated in-house Programme Management Office will oversee the delivery of this project, to ensure the building is fit for purpose for the next 50 years.

In this role you'll join our established Programme Management team who oversee the Buckingham Palace Reserving programme.

You'll provide essential administrative support to the team. This will include managing diaries and handling correspondence, as well as undertaking wider office administration, to underpin the varied activities of the programme.

Supporting the momentum of the programme you'll organise regular meetings, prepare data and progress reports, and also monitor meeting action points.

You'll act as a central point of contact within the team, being the first port of call for queries from contacts across the programme and will play a vital part in the administration of coordinating entry for contractors on site.

Working with specialists in their fields, and with wide range of internal stakeholders, every day your work will be integral in the smooth running of operations.

And for you, it's a unique opportunity to develop your existing administrative skills in a fast-paced and interesting team where you'll be able to make an immediate impact.

With some previous experience working in an administrative, or operations support role, you'll be eager to develop your skills as part of a new team.

Your organisational skills are exemplary, and you'll be comfortable prioritising your workload to meet varied deadlines, making you an asset to the team.

You'll also have excellent written communication skills, and you'll be confident adapting your style to produce reports for a range of audiences.

Computer literate, you'll be familiar with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new programs, and with a keen eye for detail, you'll be able to analyse and make sense of large amounts of data.

Proactive, with a flexible, can-do attitude you're at your best working in a team, but can also be relied upon to work independently to get things done.

And as a confident communicator, you'll enjoy working with varied internal and external colleagues.

Above all, you'll be eager to take advantage of this new role and the unique learning opportunities that it presents.
