Our finance team deliver a professional and high-quality finance service that supports the diverse strategic and operational priorities of the Royal Household.

Reporting to the Deputy Treasurer (Finance Director), you'll lead a team of c.30 to provide support on all financial matters. This will include: financial reporting and planning, managing audits with external bodies, taxation, process and systems development as well as the maintenance of financial controls and compliance.

Bringing a digital mind-set and a strong drive to improve, you'll oversee a systems replacement programme, taking the opportunity to identify efficiencies across our finance teams and implement ways of working fit for the future.

Managing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, you'll further embed a business partnering approach, ensuring that the specialist advice and support provided by you and your team is business-focused, pragmatic and reflects best practice.

No two days will be the same and the diversity of our operations will stretch you. Although primarily responsible for the financial management of our public funding through the Sovereign Grant, you'll oversee shared-services which also support Royal Collection Trust commercial enterprises and charitable trust.

An ACA qualified accountant, you'll have previous experience in a senior finance role, a strong understanding of business and strategic issues, and will have produced statutory accounts, management accounts, financial reports and analysis.

With outstanding people leadership capability, you'll know how to direct the work of a team, how to motivate encourage and develop them, as well as managing change and performance.

With a strong digital understanding and an eye for simplification, you'll look to continually review and improve the delivery of our finance operations.

Able to balance strategic and operational priorities, and with outstanding analytical skills, you'll know when to delve into the financial detail or when to retain a wider perspective.

A natural communicator and collaborator used to partnering senior managers to influence financial strategy, and appropriately challenge and advise budget holders, you'll hit the ground running, building credibility at all levels.

Organised and pro-active, with lots of initiative and an ability to work at pace, you'll juggle a varied workload and maintain resilience in a deadline-driven environment.
