Buckingham Palace is currently undergoing a ten-year programme of works to overhaul the palace's infrastructure - including electrical cabling, plumbing and heating - for the first time since the 1950's. A dedicated in-house Programme Management Office will oversee the delivery of this project, to ensure the building is fit for purpose for the next 50 years.

In this role you’ll join the dedicated Controls Team, who form a vital part of our in-house Programme Management Office (PMO), for the Reservicing of Buckingham Palace.

The handling of information is key to the smooth running of such a large project, and you'll ensure that all the team’s documents and data are properly managed.

The scope of your role will be wide, covering all aspects of information management across our Common Data Environment platform and Construction Field Tool.

Responsible for document processes, version controls, tracking and distribution, as well as security protocols and compliance, you’ll push for efficiency and effective governance in all you do.  

You'll champion best practice, training the PMO team, and being the first point of contact for any information management queries.

Reporting on data and information will be an important part of your role. And you’ll also carry out routine document control activities, all of which will help make sure the PMO are equipped to complete the programme in a structured and co-ordinated way.

Firstly, you’ll have excellent IT skills and some previous experience in information management, and looking to develop your career within this area.

You’ll also ideally have experience working with Common Data Environment software packages in a fast paced construction project environment.

Most important however, is your exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to work.

Along with exceptional organisation skills, you’re able to prioritise a busy and varied workload to meet deadlines.

Excellent written communication skills will be key. And you’ll be able to adapt your style effectively, from report writing to explaining complex information to non-specialists.

With a strong customer focus and strong interpersonal skills you’ll be confident building effective working relationships with a range of people.

An innovative problem solver too, you'll enjoy working through problems logically to find pragmatic solutions.

And with lots of initiative and you'll be eager to take the programme forward and seize the unique learning opportunities that the role presents.
