It’s exploring the layers to uncover centuries of history

It’s feeling proud of the part you play. And it's the satisfaction of caring for an irreplaceable collection. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.

The collection of furniture spanning across our locations is truly diverse, with many unique and historically significant items. What’s more, it’s a working collection; many of the items are in regular use.

You will join a team of professional conservators in C Branch, where you will support the daily operations of the Master's Department.

You will be responsible for providing practical support to the conservators, craftspeople and Portering teams within C Branch, ensuring all work is completed to an exceptional standard.

From undertaking basic remedial conservation treatments in the workshops, to assisting works of art movements and furnishing installations across the Royal Residences.

You’ll document and record the conservation work and projects that you do and ensure your projects are delivered on time.

The role includes working at height on indoor scaffolding, steps and ladders.

With an interest in craft making and conservation-restoration treatments, you will have some practical experience, and most importantly the willingness and determination to learn, develop and expand your skills and techniques within the C Branch workshops.

An eye for detail will be vital to your work and ensure that you achieve stunning end results.

With your ability to manage changing priorities and work to deadlines, you’ll be able to prioritise multiple deadlines.

With good communication skills you will be able to work as part of a small team, but also be confident working independently.

Above all, you're driven to maintain the very highest standards of care in all that you do.
