It's using your expertise to deliver the highest standards

It's being encouraged to develop your skills. And it’s contributing to a team who deliver extraordinary service. This is what makes a career with the Royal Household exceptional.

As part of an accomplished team of professionals, you’ll work hands-on to deliver a food service of the highest standard.

You'll prepare and deliver menus for a wide range of events, ensuring a smooth and efficient service at all times.

Your role will be diverse, working with quality ingredients and highly skilled colleagues across all sections of the kitchen.

You’ll also assist the Head Chef to manage stock levels and purchasing, as well as helping to lead the team during service, developing your supervisory skills.

And in an environment where development and training is commonplace, you'll be supported to grow within your role to become a technical expert in your field.

An ambitious and qualified chef, you have a clear passion for food and the catering industry, and will be committed to delivering exceptional standards in all you do.

You may have some experience within a premier kitchen or volume catering environment, however, this isn't essential. We're more interested in your technical ability and enthusiasm across all sections of the kitchen.

You’re at your best working in a team, and with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you'll be at ease liaising with colleagues across the organisation.

Your initiative, along with a flexible, can-do attitude will be key to your success. And being highly efficient and organised, you’re able to manage your workload to meet daily deadlines.

It's also important that you’re up-to-date with, and can follow, the latest catering legislative requirements.

Most importantly though, you’ll be eager to learn new skills and take advantage of the opportunities that will come your way.

This role will be based in London, and will involve travelling to other Royal residences. In return you can look forward to working in a unique and stimulating work environment, and be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary) and meals on duty. The role also offers the option to live-in with all meals provided (for which there is a salary adjustment). Training and development is encouraged and you will have access to a range of recreational facilities.
