It’s knowing your creativity is contributing to exceptional events

It’s the satisfaction of producing outstanding work and it’s delivering this work in incredible surroundings. This is what makes working at the Royal Household so different.

The Master of the Household's department delivers hundreds of events every year that see The Royal Family welcome hundreds of thousands of people to the Royal Residences. As an Assistant Florist you will work in a small team playing a key role in the experience for visitors to the Royal Residences.

You’ll create floral displays for a variety of different purposes with creativity at the heart of all you do, designing and making arrangements to always meet the brief throughout the year.

You'll be hands on, covering all aspects of floristry care. This will include the cutting and conditioning of flowers, as well as their ongoing care and upkeep. You’ll also help manage deliveries and stock, balancing this with planning ahead for future events.

The experience you’ll gain will be broad, supporting the Masters Department’s deliver of hospitality by working across all Royal residences throughout the year.

You'll be proud of the part your technical skills will play in delivering world class events, which will inspire you to produce beautiful work every time.

You'll already have a recognised floristry qualification and ideally significant experience from your work in the hospitality industry or as an event florist.

An expert in your field, you will be confident regularly creating a range of floral displays from small table centres and vases through to large pedestal arrangements. You'll also be comfortable working independently, taking initiative to handle the varied needs that come with a busy events calendar of a working palace.

Approachable and friendly, with good communication skills, you’ll work well alongside the wider team to prepare for events.

Above all, you’ll be motivated by the contribution you make towards events that are valued by many.

You can look forward to working in a unique and stimulating work environment, and be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), with training and development, as well as a range of catering and recreational facilities.
