It's discovering new ways to deliver exceptional results

It's developing your leadership skills. And it's delivering extraordinary service, in incredible surroundings. This is what makes a career at the Royal Household so different.

The Master of the Household's department handles a huge range of hospitality, catering and housekeeping activities across the Royal residences. Covering multiple locations and welcoming thousands of guests every year, it's a busy environment with new challenges every day.

As Pastry Chef, you'll help to lead a team of talented professionals in the Royal Kitchens to deliver food to the highest standards.

Supporting the Head Chef, you'll help manage day-to-day operations in our kitchens, developing and preparing both classical and contemporary menus for a wide range of events.

You'll motivate and inspire those around you, overseeing the performance and development of a highly competent team, as well as recruiting and training new members.

You'll also work strategically with the Head Chef and Royal Chef to develop the kitchen team, as well as generate new ideas and develop menus. And working in a unique kitchen environment will continue to drive you.

You're a highly qualified and skilled Pastry Chef, with experience at a senior level from a fine dining or five star catering operation.

With extensive knowledge of classical cuisine, and of the food industry in general, you're adept at planning and developing menus for a wide range of occasions, including volume catering.

You have excellent people management skills, and you're used to motivating and developing a large team.

It's essential that you can plan, organise and delegate effectively, as you and your team will be delivering for varied occasions, across several sites.

It's also important that you can follow all legislative requirements, and have good IT skills.

Above all, you have the passion and innovation to keep the Royal Kitchen moving forward.

This role will be based in London, and when required, will involve travelling to other Royal residences. In return you can look forward to working in a unique and stimulating environment, and be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary). Training and development is encouraged and you will have access to a range of recreational facilities.
