It’s maintaining the systems that support the whole household.

It’s being trusted to deliver. And it’s providing the insight and support that takes the whole Household forward. This is what makes a career at the Royal Household exceptional.

Our IT team provides vital technical support, maintaining and developing our IT systems for the benefit of over 1,800 users across our Royal residences.

Your role will be to oversee the installation, maintenance, monitoring and support of core IT infrastructure and components.

Working closely alongside the rest of the IT operations team, you’ll provide key system administration, as well as act as a point of technical escalation for the service desk.

Whether troubleshooting problems, maintaining relevant system security, or configuring a wide range of devices and applications, you’ll help ensure that our services are fully reliable.

Your expertise will be called upon, and will grow, as you’ll handle a varied scale of user queries. And a key challenge for you will be balancing user and technical requirements, in order to deliver an overall, exceptional service.

We don’t stand still here; we continually evaluate and review our current technologies. So you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved with and support projects that deliver a range of improvements to our systems.

The diversity of your work will expand you, and knowing you're developing a diverse range of technical skills will drive you on.

With significant experience in an IT Service Desk environment, you’re well practiced at call handling and desk-side visits in relation to 3rd line support.

Qualifications in IT technical support, such as ITIL, would also be an advantage, but are not essential. It’s your knowledge of Windows and Microsoft products that will ensure you’ll hit the ground running.

Communication skills are vital too. You'll be confident working with a wide variety of people across the Household, and will also enjoy working as part of a team.

With excellent troubleshooting skills, you’re a logical and innovative problem solver, able to suggest pragmatic solutions and keep calm under pressure.

What's more, you're highly organised, able to systematically manage and prioritise tasks to meet varied needs and deadlines.

Above all, with your proactive and customer focused approach, you're committed to delivering a service that leaves a lasting and positive impression.
