35 per week, over 5 days, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

As the cook within the private Household of The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of daily meals for Their Royal Highnesses and, when required, family and guests, including for a variety of formal occasions.

In this role, you will also be responsible for preparing lunch for a small team of staff, and will also monitor and replenish food supplies and equipment for the Household.

As part of this small but busy team, you will also undertake certain housekeeping duties to support the running of the household, including maintaining the kitchen areas.

Possessing a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent), you will have previous experience, ideally gained within a private household.

With excellent organisational and timekeeping skills, you are able to efficiently plan and prepare menus.

You will have an exceptional eye for detail and will be committed to providing high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Self-motivated and proactive, you will possess an enthusiastic attitude to work.

You will enjoy working as part of a small team but can also work well independently and with initiative and confidence.

With the ability to work calmly under pressure, you will be friendly and positive.
