It's knowing that you're helping to protect a world famous institution.

It's feeling proud of the part you play. And it's delivering extraordinary service in incredible surroundings. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

The Security Vetting team manages the vetting procedures for everyone living and working in the Royal residences.

Joining this small and busy team, you'll undertake verification checks that meet the diverse needs of the working Household, creating a safe and secure environment for all.

You'll conduct security clearances for employees, visitors and contractors. You'll also carry out pre-employment checks, working collaboratively with your team to deliver an exceptional personnel security verification service.

You'll be responsible for your own portfolio of work, and will regularly liaise with internal colleagues and external bodies. Keeping all our records up-to-date will be an important part of your role too. As well as the day-to-day, you'll help the wider team at events and with a range of projects.

It's a fast paced environment, and you'll make important decisions every day. But whether you're processing clearance for an individual contractor, or supporting a large scale recruitment campaign, you'll always deliver with faultless accuracy.

The standards you aim for will be the biggest challenge, and the biggest reward.

And every day you'll deliver vital work that has an impact across the Royal Household.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you'll already have some experience in a vetting capacity or environment.

To excel, you'll need to be naturally tenacious and enquiring, with a detail orientated and accurate approach to your work.

The ability to remain calm and level headed under pressure, think on your feet, and demonstrate good judgment and sound decision making in a fast paced environment will also be vital.

Utilising strong organisational skills and IT competence, you'll have the capability to process large volumes of information to meet tight deadlines.

With a flexible approach to your work and excellent time management skills, you can effectively prioritise workloads in order to balance proactive and reactive demands.

As a strong communicator and with a collaborative approach, you'll build effective working relationships, both internally and externally to achieve the best results.
