Since 1993, Buckingham Palace has opened its doors every summer to welcome thousands of visitors from around the World. By joining our exceptional Visitor Services team, you will play a pivotal role in creating an extraordinary experience.

As a Warden, you'll welcome visitors from around the world, answering their questions, enriching their visit and ensuring the safety and security of the site. After full training you’ll have the skills you need to excel in your position and to enjoy an extraordinary summer experience.   

Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome visitors and provide them with information about our sites.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, always maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the visitors and the site.
  • Carry out a variety of duties along the visitor route, as well as working in the magnificent State Rooms.
  • Work collaboratively as a team to ensure the smooth flow of visitors along the route.

Additional Information:

Contract and Hours: This position is for a fixed term from 20th June to 7th October 2024. You are guaranteed to work a minimum of 300 hours during your contract period (paid by the hour). Following the required period of paid training, you will typically work 30 - 35 hours per week, over 5 days out of 7, and you will be required to work regular weekends.

Consideration will be given should you need to leave the contract from mid-September. This can be discussed at interview.

Part-time Consideration: We are open to considering part-time contracts (3 or 4 full working days per week) upon request.
