It’s the collaboration and the community spirit, and it’s helping to deliver extraordinary service in incredible surroundings. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.

Every year Windsor Castle hosts a wide range of Royal events, from investitures and receptions to the historic Garter Day, and it welcomes thousands of visitors and school groups through its doors. It’s home to many of our specialist teams, including the Royal Library and Archives, craft and conservation studios, and the Royal Mews, as well as housing residents across the wider Estate.

With this variety comes a strong sense of community and a very busy schedule. The Superintendent’s Office sits at the heart of the Castle community and is responsible for all operational co-ordination and liaison.

You’ll provide essential support to the small team, helping to facilitate the programme of events, respond to queries, troubleshoot issues and actively deconflict site-wide activities. No two days will be the same and the pace and variety will challenge you. But as a natural communicator, able to think on your feet and work with others to deliver, you’ll make an impact as part of this unique and rewarding team.

  • Co-ordinate all stakeholders in support of site-wide salvage activities.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager.

Essential criteria

  • Have a high level of ability to plan and organise activities to achieve excellent results.
  • Have demonstrable first-rate written and inclusive verbal communication skills and an attentiveness to detail.
  • Have experience in co-ordinating routine activities and other projects.
  • Be able to form effective working relationships and able to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Be willing and able to respond to change positively by adopting an adaptable and flexible approach.
