Buckingham Palace is currently undergoing a ten-year programme of works to overhaul the palace's infrastructure wing-by-wing - including electrical cabling, plumbing and heating - for the first time since the 1950's. A dedicated in-house Programme Management Office will oversee the delivery of this project, to ensure the building is fit for purpose for the next 50 years.

Joining our talented team supporting the Senior Project Managers, this is a role of unique variety. You’ll assist with the delivery of projects within the Reservicing Programme, drive sustainability objectives, as well as manage the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).

You’ll support on the lifecycle of a variety of projects from design and procurement to construction, commissioning and completion.

You’ll also provide programme wide support towards our Reservicing Programme’s (BPR) sustainability objectives, working closely with colleagues to identify and maximise opportunities to enhance sustainability and report on the benefits achieved.

In addition to this you will manage assessment process for the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) in relation to the Reservicing Programme. You'll undertake site visits and inspections, before making recommendations for improvement.

Ideally with a relevant qualification in a sustainability or environmental subject (e.g. degree, BREEAM qualification) and with some previous experience of property or construction projects, you’ll be eager to take on a new challenge within this exciting programme.

If you don’t hold the qualification but have a keen interest in sustainability or working understanding of BREEAM criteria and assessments, then we would be happy to support you to obtain the qualifications. 

Highly organised and self-sufficient, you'll be able to independently co-ordinate your workload to support varied projects and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

With an eye for detail, you’re able to analyse, interpret and organise large volumes of information to put forward recommendations for senior managers.

Results driven, you’re a logical and innovative problem solver too, able to adapt to changing circumstances to keep projects and assessments on track.

Your exceptional attention to detail and command of relevant IT programs (Aconex) will be important when using data to prepare reports.

With a naturally collaborative approach, you have excellent communications skills and can quickly build positive relationships with colleagues and external contractors alike. You’ll also be a strong team player.
