It's developing skills, while working alongside a collection enjoyed by millions

It's learning and contributing at the same time. And it's caring for one of the world's greatest collections. This is what makes an internship with Royal Collection Trust so different.

In terms of both quality and diversity, the Royal Collection is breath-taking. The Collections Information Team's challenge is to build a thorough record of the entire Collection: an extensive task that will aid its future care, preservation and display.

Your main challenge will be to help expand on and improve digital access to the Royal Collection for internal and external audiences.

From scanning historic glass plate negatives and condition checking, to cross-referencing historic inventories and conservation information on the Collections Management System, you'll acquire a strong foundation of skills that will help build your career.

Through individual project work, you'll develop greater insight into a specific area of historic documentation or display.

And with the chance to benefit from the expertise of Curators and Conservators, you’ll be able to grow your skills in an exciting environment where development and training is commonplace.

With a keen interest in documentation, conservation and the Royal Collection, you're exactly who we're looking for.

You already have experience in the use of databases and have a demonstrable interest in European history and art history.

A confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What's more, you're extremely organised, and your attention to detail will be second-to-none.

Above all, you're eager to immerse yourself in the unique learning opportunities that the collection presents.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to use your enthusiasm for collections management to develop new skills and take the next step in your career.
