Our professional Finance team provide shared services to a number of internal client groups. Joining us on a year-long contract, you'll lead a small team of skilled management accountants who are collectively responsible for the financial management of the departments funded by the Sovereign Grant.

You'll have oversight of your team's activity, and you'll make sure that the delivery of all regular management and financial reports is timely and of a consistently high standard.

Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and KPIs, the financial planning and information you provide will be integral to the business planning cycles and achievements of your internal customers.

The diverse functions of the accounts you'll handle will be truly unique. Liaising with multiple budget holders across the organisation on a daily basis you'll provide valuable internal consultancy support and advice.

Guiding the team; you'll ensure best practice and effective working are at the very heart of their activities. You'll motivate those around you to deliver excellence, whilst also constantly looking at ways to improve processes and systems.

The deadlines will be demanding, and the standards expected of you will be high, but motivated by the value of your role, you'll take pride in the part you play.

A chartered accountant with relevant experience in a similar role, significant exposure to ledger reconciliation and ideally audit, you're the expert we need.

You'll have experience of dealing with a wide range of financial issues, and be able to communicate complex information to customers with varying levels of financial and budgetary understanding.

IT literate, you're a confident user of Microsoft Office with exceptional Excel skills and experience of account management packages.

What's more, you're as good with people as you are with numbers. And with sound judgement and decision-making, you'll be able to influence and advise at all levels, becoming a trusted advisor.

An exceptional people manager, you'll have a genuine interest in motivating and leading a team, whilst also progressing their professional development.

Logical, analytical and methodical, you are able to organise and prioritise your own and your team's workload effectively to meet strict deadlines, remaining level headed and accurate even under pressure.

With a customer focus in all that you do, you'll be eager to work alongside your team in order to deliver exceptional support to this unique and varied organisation.
