Every year thousands of people from around the world visit The Queen's Gallery, Royal Mews and the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace in London.

As Cash Office Supervisor, you’ll provide vital support to our Visitor Services teams.

Overseeing the cashier system for our busy Retail and Admissions operations, you’ll ensure accuracy and efficiency in all you do.


You'll prepare daily floats for all retail and admissions locations, as well as being responsible for cashing up at the end of each day.

You’ll also reconcile invoices, match check cash and credit card takings to financial reports, and post remittances.

And when things get busy over the summer months, you’ll supervise a small team of seasonal Cashiers, allocating daily tasks and being a source of guidance.

You’ll be an integral part of the Retail and Admissions teams daily operations, which in turn, will help provide an exceptional service to thousands of visitors.



You’ll already have some experience of working in a cashiering environment, with a good knowledge of cashbook and finance systems. But beyond this, it's your excellent numeracy skills that will be vital in this role.

Meticulous, with an eye for detail, you’ll carry out your work with impeccable attention to detail and faultless accuracy. With a methodical approach, you'll be able to prioritise your daily workload and meet regular deadlines.

What's more, you'll have great IT skills, and will be confident using Microsoft Office to process large volumes of data.

A good communicator, with a helpful attitude, you’ll always look to promptly resolve queries from colleagues.
