Joining our professional and expert in-house team in a new role, you'll lead the team responsible for a range of mechanical and electrical operational activities across the Royal estate in Windsor.

You’ll oversee a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance. Be it tender processes, schedules of works and annual works projects or statutory compliance, you’ll take on a range of building services responsibilities.

Leading a small team of skilled engineers, you'll provide guidance and support, ensuring best practice and effective working are at the very heart of all the team achieve.

A key challenge will be to deliver work alongside the daily activities of a busy working castle. You'll negotiate with, and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, and your input will be vital to the continued running of our historic buildings.

What’s more, you’ll always have an eye to the future. You’ll be relied upon to take a long-term view with every project, modernising our systems and finding new ways to achieve great efficiencies.

Qualified to Masters level in Engineering (or equivalent), with varied and extensive M&E experience, you’re an expert in your field.

Experience of working on multi-site estates or with historic or listed buildings would be a real advantage, as well as a good command of Building Management Systems.

Organised, pro-active and with lots of initiative, you'll know how to juggle a varied range of property challenges, adapting to meet to tight deadlines and changing circumstances.

You’ll also be well versed in statutory compliance and risk, cost control and contract management, and project management.

Strong people management skills will be vital to your success; you’ll have a genuine interest in motivating and leading a team, whilst also progressing their professional development.

And with a strong customer focus, you’ll be able to build positive relationships with senior management and external contractors alike, quickly becoming a trusted source of advice.

Perceptive, analytical and resourceful, you'll be quick to assess issues, reacting effectively with innovative solutions. Additionally, a strategic mindset will make you a valuable asset to the collaborative, continuous progress of the Property Section.
