It's knowing that Charles II's story is captivating an audience today

It’s working as one to deliver impressive projects. And it’s the satisfaction of presenting and promoting one of the world’s greatest and most diverse art collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

In terms of both quality and diversity, our collection of paintings is breath-taking, consisting of nearly 8,000 paintings and 3,000 miniatures that cover centuries of art history.

It’s a ‘living’ collection, yet there are stories here that have lain untold for centuries. You’ll uncover them and then bring them alive - not just through inspiring exhibitions, but also catalogues, lectures and presentations.

With the upcoming exhibition of Charles II: Art and Power, it's an exciting time. You'll act as joint curator for the exhibition, contributing to the planning, interpretation and display of some truly fascinating paintings, from historically monumental portraits to the old masters.

And working as part of our passionate curatorial team, you'll carry out research to develop content for exhibitions, and respond to incoming queries, growing your expertise.

You'll also organise picture moves, and the conservation and display of paintings within galleries and across the royal residences.

Liaising with teams across Royal Collection Trust on new and existing exhibition programmes, you'll deliver lectures and tours that aim to reach, inspire and engage with the broadest audience possible.

And by bringing people closer to a truly unique history, you will be inspired every day.

You're a complete paintings enthusiast, wanting to develop your already extensive knowledge of art history further. And with a relevant degree, and experience of working in a museum or art gallery in a curatorial role, you'll be an asset to our team.

You'll be used to preparing talks, presentations and displays, and you'll be eager to share your knowledge with varied audiences.

You also have an excellent understanding of conservation issues and the challenges of working with historic interiors and works of art, able to design effective hangs that show paintings to their very best.

With previous project experience and strong administration skills, you'll be able to plan and deliver long term projects alongside a daily workload and tight deadlines.

A confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you'll enjoy collaborating with team members and colleagues who are specialists in their own field.

And driven by your passion for knowledge, you're also confident working independently and delivering excellent results.
