It's bringing future generations closer to a fascinating past

It’s becoming part of something special. And it’s the satisfaction of interpreting and presenting one of the world’s greatest art collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

Unique in both quality and diversity, the Royal Collection has a fascinating history, and our Learning Section is responsible for sharing its stories with the broadest possible audience.

You'll manage a dedicated team of Learning Officers, delivering an innovative and inspiring Schools programme at Windsor Castle. With strategic and creative leadership you will significantly expand the scale and ambition of our Schools programme, aiming to engage younger generations with the Collection and historic Castle.

Building strong relationships with schools, teaching organisations and local authorities will be key to your success. You'll look to extend the reach and diversity of local schools, targeting underrepresented communities, and collaborating with them to uncover new opportunities.

Working closely with colleagues across Royal Collection Trust, you'll assess and develop current learning activities, oversee daily operations and manage the promotion of the programme.

Whilst ensuring your team is inspired and motivated to deliver their best, you'll also plan ahead, managing the programme budget and increasing Learning events sales.

And you'll join us at a truly exciting time. With a new Learning Centre on the horizon as part of our Future Programme, you'll take on the unique challenge of scaling up our learning provisions.

With your vision and ideas about how to shape and maximise our schools offering, you'll help to deliver an exciting future.

And you’ll be proud to bring the Royal Collection closer to a growing audience.

Educated to degree level, you'll already have experience of developing and delivering learning programmes, ideally within a museum or heritage environment. And being highly motivated and driven, you'll be able to grow our operations alongside your own skills.

Passionate about engaging a young audience, you'll have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum, access requirements and formal learning styles.

Organised and pro-active, with lots of initiative and an ability to work at pace, you'll juggle a varied workload, effectively balancing strategic and operational priorities.

A capable and experienced people manager, you're able to lead, develop and inspire an ambitious team.

With a customer focus, you'll be keen to utilise feedback in order to improve our reach. And as a confident communicator, you're able to build relationships with all kinds of people.

At your best working as part of a team, you have an open and collaborative style and can readily adapt to changing needs. Above all, you'll be passionate about inspiring curiosity and engaging with a wide range of schools.

This is your opportunity to use your experience in learning to deliver the exceptional.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday pro-rata (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch provided, interest free season ticket loans, with training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.
