The office of HRH The Duke of York is responsible for the support and management of His Royal Highness' official programme in support of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as overseeing commitments relating to HRH's own Patronages and portfolio of work.

Based in Buckingham Palace, this twelve month fixed term contract offers an opportunity to gain valuable administrative, organisational and planning experience in a unique and busy office environment.

As Office Assistant, you will provide daily administrative support to the Private Secretary, and the wider team as required. This will include drafting correspondence, coordinating meetings and team diaries, maintaining database systems, and responding to internal and external enquiries

To help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office, you will also undertake research, help co-ordinate both UK and oversees recees, and assist with organising a number of large scale events.

Educated to degree level, you will have the skills to manage and prioritise a range of tasks and projects within tight deadlines, and deliver consistently accurate results.

With good IT skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel, you will be able to draft correspondence and reports

With good interpersonal and communication skills, you will be at ease working as part of a team, and confident liaising with people at all levels.

Finally, you will have an enthusiastic and pro-active approach, will enjoy using your initiative, and will be keen to take on the range of opportunities this role presents.
