As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, you'll join a team of professionals who are responsible for processing invoices for the entire organisation.

You'll make sure every purchase ledger is processed correctly and within the agreed timescales, supporting the smooth daily operation of the Household.


From day one you’ll have responsibility for your own workload, be it coding invoices, reconciling statements or checking supplier details. Working as part of a team to meet deadlines will be critical to your success.

Liaising with managers and internal customers will also be a big part of your role. Handling varied purchase enquiries, the sheer variety of people you'll support will surprise you.

The high standards you'll aim for will provide the biggest challenge, as well as the greatest reward. And being part of a team at the heart of a world famous institution will be what drives you.

With a good working knowledge of accounting procedures, you’ll already have some experience of purchase ledger processing.


Ideally studying for a professional accountancy qualification, you’ll possess Maths and English to GCSE (or equivalent) level, and will have sound IT skills.


Organised and detail focused, you're able to meet and often surpass daily targets.


With your proactive approach and excellent communication skills, you're able to build positive working relationships. What's more, your approach to customer service will be second-to-none.


And in all that you do, you'll carry out your work with impeccable attention to detail and faultless accuracy, whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels.
