It's delivering the next in a long line of magnificent plates

It’s the collaboration and the community spirit. And it’s helping to deliver extraordinary service in incredible surroundings. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.

Joining an accomplished and close-knit team, you’ll work hands-on with talented colleagues to deliver food to the highest standards.

You'll work with quality ingredients to plan and develop menu items for a wide range of events, as well as helping to manage stock levels.

Alongside the Pastry Chef, you’ll lead and motivate the Pastry Kitchen team while developing both your managerial and cooking skills, playing an integral part in the day-to-day running of The Royal Household.

In an environment where development and training is commonplace, you'll be supported to grow within your role.

And you’ll spend up to three months each year, at other Royal residences around the UK.

You'll be an experienced and qualified Pastry Chef with a background in premier catering, ready to take on a new challenge.

With extensive knowledge of classical French cuisine, and of the food industry in general, you're adept at planning and developing menus for a wide range of occasions, including fine dining and volume catering.

You must be a strong leader used to empowering and motivating a team. It's essential that you can plan, organise and delegate effectively, as you and your team will be delivering for very varied occasions.

With excellent communication skills, you'll have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both your team and colleagues.

It's also important that you can follow all legislative requirements, and have good IT skills.

Above all, you'll be committed to achieving high standards every day, making you a real asset to the Royal Kitchen team.

In return you can look forward to working in a unique and stimulating work environment, and be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary) and meals on duty. The role also offers the option to live-in with all meals provided (for which there is a salary adjustment). Training and development is encouraged and you will have access to a range of recreational facilities.
