This is no standard housekeeping role. You’ll work, and live, in stunning historic settings, ensuring that they’re presented to their best for colleagues, guests and, of course, the Royal Family.
Aiming for the highest standards, you’ll clean and care for interiors and items from carpets and furniture to historic vases and irreplaceable paintings.
You’ll take care of guests and support special events too. And, in an environment where development and training is commonplace, you’ll be able to grow your skills far beyond your immediate role.
About the department
The Master of the Household’s Department handles everything involved in the official and private entertaining across all the Royal Residences.
Working in magnificent historic settings, we take on a huge variety of hospitality, catering and housekeeping challenges.

Housekeeping or hospitality experience would be an asset, but is by no means essential. We’re more interested in your outstanding team working skills.
You clearly take care and pride in your work, and your keen attention to detail means you aim for the highest standards in all that you do.
Your excellent communication skills mean that you can adapt effectively to any occasion.
It's a busy environment, but with good time management skills, you're able to meet the demanding deadlines.
