It’s bringing Beaton's work to the digital age

It's feeling proud of the part you play. And it's the satisfaction of maintaining and caring for one of the world's largest collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

In quality and diversity, the collection of photographs in Royal Collection Trust's care is breath-taking. Our ambition is to make this internationally important collection entirely accessible to public through our website.

Concentrating on the amazing collection of twentieth-century photographs, your challenge will be to create new online records so that this largely unseen collection of images is available for all to enjoy.

You'll create, edit and enhance online content for visitors to our website. Liaising with curators, you'll identify and select significant works. You'll closely examine every photo, and produce full CMS records. You'll also check copyright and photography for publication.

And immersing yourself in these works will inspire you every day.

Degree educated, with experience of working within a photographic collection, you're the expert we need.

Passionate about your subject, you'll have a broad knowledge of twentieth-century photographic history. Experience of art-collection or museum inventory systems and procedures, and an understanding of current copyright law would also prove valuable.

With a real eye for detail and precision, you'll be confident producing large volumes of accurate records for internal and external use.

As an excellent communicator, you'll enjoy working with colleagues and researchers to achieve high standards of presentation to the public. And you'll be eager to present the collection to visitors and external audiences.

Above all, you'll understand the challenges of cataloguing a large collection, and be eager to take advantage of the many learning opportunities that the collection presents.

This is your opportunity to combine your knowledge with your proactive approach to deliver the exceptional.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch provided, with training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.
