It's supporting work that will have a worldwide impact

It's the sheer variety of challenges you'll face in joining the team who engage the public and media, with the work, role and relevance of The Royal Family. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

Joining this fast-paced, creative team, you'll take on a role of unique variety.

Working at the heart of the communications team, you'll provide pro-active and wide-ranging PA support to the Director of Royal Communications, and you'll make sure the whole office runs smoothly.

No two days will be the same. You'll prioritise and manage multiple requests on behalf of the Director, co-ordinating ever changing diaries, meetings and appointments, alongside complex travel arrangements and correspondence management.

You'll have the opportunity to get involved with varied events and projects. From overseeing media arrangements at engagements to helping our digital team capture an audience through social media and online, you'll expand your skills whilst supporting the core work of the team.

With exposure across the organisation, you'll liaise daily with colleagues at all levels, and will build relationships with a range of external contacts and opinion formers.

The reaction to our work is always high-profile and so attention to detail and reputation will be at the forefront of all that you do. Deadlines will often be demanding and the pace will stretch you. Yet you'll rise to the challenge and will be proud of the part you play.

As an experienced PA used to supporting senior people, ideally in a consumer or media communications/ PR environment, you take pride in delivering to the highest standards.

You'll have superb interpersonal and communication skills, and will be at ease working as part of a team, and liaising with people at all levels.

Having had experience of diary management and event support, you'll be capable of pre-empting situations, and also be confident to make informed decisions on the back of this.

With a proactive approach, you'll work efficiently with initiative and minimal direction, remaining calm and organised even when under pressure.

Confident using a range of IT packages, excellent drafting skills and attention to detail, you'll be capable of producing a range of papers, presentations, correspondence and reports.

With good judgement, sensitivity and a willingness to help others, you'll quickly become a trusted and indispensable member of the team.

Finally, you'll be eager to grow your digital skills and take on challenges that will widen your knowledge of communications.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility to increase contributions or draw down as salary) and support for your continued professional development.
