The Royal Mews oversees all road transportation for The King and Members of the Royal Family, including the management of all vehicles in Royal Mews Garage.

As Transport Coordinator, you will support the Transport Manager with the complex coordination of vehicles and drivers and oversee daily operations for the team.

Key responsibilities                         

• You’ll coordinate daily motor transport operations, ensuring plans and instructions are clearly communicated to the relevant teams.
• You’ll contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Royal Mews Garage,                 helping to maintain high standards across all vehicles and staff.
• You’ll oversee the team’s training for vehicle use and be a key point of contact and support for your colleagues.
• You’ll take responsibility for day‑to‑day fleet management, making sure every vehicle meets required legal and operational obligations.
• You’ll also uphold health and safety standards across the workplace and monitor staffing levels to ensure the roster is always well‑
• Beyond daily operations, you’ll be involved in the planning and co-ordination of high‑profile and complex events, giving you valuable opportunities to broaden your experience and develop your skills.

Essential Criteria

• You’ll bring experience in operational planning and logistics, with a clear understanding of how to deliver operations to a high standard.
• You’ll draw on your background as a professional driver, bringing practical insight into the demands and responsibilities of the role.
• A confident communicator, you’ll build strong working relationships and engage effectively with colleagues across a wide range of roles.
• Highly organised and methodical, you’ll be comfortable working to tight deadlines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail throughout.
• With strong administrative skills, you’ll also be confident using IT systems, including MS Office, to support smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Proactive and adaptable, you’ll use your initiative to work independently while also contributing positively within a team.
• And with a full, clean UK driving licence and solid knowledge of UK motor regulations, you’ll operate safely, responsibly and in line with all requirements.
• C & D1 Driving licence desirable but not essential
