It’s taking every opportunity to make your mark. And it’s the pride in joining a team at the heart of a world famous institution. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

Joining our dedicated and professional team of gardeners, you'll help ensure the royal gardens and surrounding areas are maintained to an exceptional standard.

You’ll keep the lawns in top condition, from regular mowing and edging, to re-seeding and top dressing.

You'll also maintain the shrub, herbaceous and rose borders, monitor the health of plants, and nurture the growth of shrubs.

And you'll help to shape the future of the gardens, planting new shrubbery, bulbs and seasonal flower displays.

You’ll further develop your knowledge and skills, working alongside and learning from expert colleagues. And you’ll aim for the best in all you do, ensuring the gardens continue to impress.

A passion for horticulture is a must, along with relevant experience and a good working knowledge of plants and turf care.

A minimum qualification of Horticulture NVQ 2 (or similar) will be essential, as will experience operating a wide range of garden machinery.

With good time management and prioritising skills, you will be able to organise a busy and varied workload.

Working closely with colleagues will be important to you, and you'll have the skills to communicate with a range of people.

And overall, in all that you do, you'll take great pride in your work and will be motivated to present gardens to exceptional standards.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary).
