It’s creating sustainable infrastructures for the oldest castle in the world

It’s being encouraged to develop. And it’s the pride in joining a team at the heart of a world famous institution. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

The size and complexity of Windsor Castle and its surrounding estate will present you with some truly fascinating challenges.

Joining our professional in-house team, you’ll provide expert M&E maintenance service to our buildings across the Windsor Estate.

You’ll carry out a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, playing an essential part in the upkeep of Windsor Castle.

You’ll check machinery, locate faults and regularly service our systems, as well as undertake a variety of electrical and mechanical repairs and minor installations.

You’ll be challenged to provide exceptional customer service to a range of people, whether you’re preparing for a function or responding to a call out. You’ll also supervise contractors on site, providing guidance and advice to ensure work is always carried out accurately, in line with compliance and to the highest standard.

And maintenance is only half the story. With every new project you'll help modernise and futureproof our systems, so they are both fit for purpose and energy efficient for many more years to come.

The scope of your work will stretch you, and develop your expertise. And you’ll take pride in being part of a team who are vital to the continued running of our historic and world famous buildings.

You’ll have some previous experience in building maintenance   and minor refurbishment. Along with relevant engineering qualifications and   recognised training in either electrical or HVAC systems, you’ll be ready to   hit the ground running.

Experience working in Listed Buildings would also be an   advantage, or you will be keen to expand your experience in this environment.

As you will be working across several locations and buildings,   a full UK driving licence will be essential. You’ll also have good IT skills   and a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and will be able to pick   up our CAFM and helpdesk systems quickly.

Beyond this, it’s your on-the-floor problem solving skills   that will key your success. You’ll be quick at analyse and assess a   situation, before working through practical solutions to resolve an issue.

Organised, with a logical and methodical approach, you're able   to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, delivering results even when things   get busy.

You’re also flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances   and enjoy the varied, and sometimes unusual workload that listed buildings   entail.

What's more, you’re a great communicator , able to build   positive relationships with colleagues and external contractors alike. As a   natural team player, you’ll enjoy working with colleagues across functional   and geographical boundaries to achieve collaborative results.

And you clearly take care and pride in your work, delivering   exceptional customer service in all you do.
