From care and conservation, to public lectures and exhibitions, our Paintings team is responsible for an unparalleled collection of nearly 8,000 paintings and 3,000 miniatures.  

You'll gain first-hand experience in a wide range of curatorial activities, including researching the paintings and assisting with their presentation through a range of media channels.  

You'll develop an understanding of our curatorial process and have the opportunity to gain an insight into a specific area of curatorial responsibility through individual project work and in-depth research.  

You'll also assist in the administration of loans and exhibitions and help with the cataloguing of new material, to our outstanding collection of arts.  

With the chance to benefit from the expertise of Curators within our Paintings team, you'll be able to develop your skills and enjoy the rewards of working in an exciting and high-profile organisation.  

You'll have a proven interest in European paintings, art history and the Royal Collection.  

A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  

As a natural organiser with lots of initiative, you'll have strong IT skills and your attention to detail will be second to none.
