It's supporting this incredible business to make it safe for all

It’s knowing that your work matters more. And it's providing insight and support that takes the whole household forward. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

As well as being the professional business behind the monarchy, the Royal Household welcomes thousands of people every year to world class events and the public openings of state rooms at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Joining our team of professionals, you’ll help to maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment, across all our sites.

In all you do, you’ll aim to embed a positive and proactive Health and Safety culture.  You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation, assisting departments with their control arrangements, action plans and training programmes.

You'll undertake workplace inspections and risk assessments, and with relevant, up-to-date professional advice, you'll make recommendations to mitigate and alleviate risk.

You'll also receive, examine and log all accident reports. What’s more, you’ll follow up and make sure that corrective and preventative actions have been both identified, and carried out. All of which will ensure that health and safety performance is accurately monitored.

It's an organisation with a truly diverse spectrum of roles and working environments. Be it an office, kitchen, stable or garden, you’ll actively share your knowledge to drive organisation-wide understanding of health, safety and welfare issues.

Your expertise will be relied on, and you’ll continuously look to innovate our practices and control arrangements so they remain effective.

And you’ll strive to achieve the exceptional, knowing that the results of your work will impact the daily lives of people across the organisation.

As a qualified professional you’ll have a relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, or above).

Your previous experience in an advisory role, and knowledge of statutory compliance and risk, means you’re confident putting forward recommendations for improvement.

Highly organised and results driven, you'll be able to co-ordinate your varied workload across locations and meet multiple deadlines.

You’re a logical and innovative problem solver too, able to suggest pragmatic solutions and keep calm under pressure.

With a naturally collaborative approach, you can quickly build positive relationships with colleagues and external contractors alike.

Your eye for detail and command of relevant IT programs will be important when analysing and interpreting data to write reports.

Above all, you'll have a pro-active and flexible attitude, and enjoy working within a small, yet dedicated team.
