It's knowing the kitchen is stocked to deliver the next event

It's the remarkable diversity of the people you'll work with. And it's playing your part in delivering exceptional service. This is what makes working for the Royal Household so different.

The Master of the Household's department handles everything involved in the official and private entertaining across all the Royal residencies, delivering hundreds of events every year.

Joining this professional and close-knit team, you'll co-ordinate the purchasing of food for a wide range of events and catering needs, from daily catering for employees to State Dinners.

Assisting with the management of stock, you'll ensure the Royal Household is supplied with fresh and high quality produce for every occasion.

You'll get a real insight into the workings of this fast-paced environment. Alongside a busy calendar of events you'll monitor stock levels, create and place orders for produce, and coordinate the delivery of supplies.

You'll be a central point of contact for external suppliers, and you'll be relied upon to keep up-to-date with the teams' varied activity, which will help allocate and use produce efficiently and minimise waste.

No two days will be the same. Whether preparing daily nutritional indexes for the staff canteen or monthly budgetary and purchase reports, you'll be developing your knowledge whilst supporting our operations.

What's more, you'll travel with the team to other Royal residences throughout the UK, spending approximately two months of the year away from London. During this period you'll take on purchasing arrangements for different locations, expanding your skills even further.

And, in everything you do, you'll help the team to deliver exceptional food for every occasion.

Ideally with experience working in an administration role and with some knowledge of Food & Beverage ordering, you'll be eager to develop your skills further.

Collaborative and professional, you'll enjoy liaising with a wide variety of internal and external people, using your communication skills on a daily basis.

At ease working as part of a team and with a willingness to help others, you'll quickly become a trusted and indispensable member of the team.

You're also efficient and well organised, used to prioritising a busy workload and working to varied deadlines.

Confident using a range of IT packages, and with excellent attention to detail, you'll be capable of preparing varied documentation, including spreadsheets and budgetary reports.

With a proactive approach, you'll work efficiently with initiative and minimal direction, remaining calm and organised even when under pressure.

Most importantly though, you have a clear passion for food and the catering industry, and take pride in delivering work to the highest standards.

Above all, there are opportunities for you to grow your career here, and so you'll be keen to learn and progress. You will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), meals provided, training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.
