It’s finding inspiration for the next top seller

It's never standing still. And it’s playing your part in the team helping millions enjoy magnificent buildings and beautiful art. This is what makes a career at Royal Collection Trust so exceptional.

Through permanent and seasonal shops, as well as a growing eCommerce platform, Royal Collection Trust's retail operations generate a revenue that is directly invested into the care and conservation of the Royal Collection.

As Senior Buyer, your challenge will be to source and develop approximately 200 new items each year for sale online and across our sites.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of retail buying, from planning and sourcing products, through to marketing and display.

Our retail range is as varied as our international customer base. You’ll develop products that are bespoke to Royal Collection Trust, ensuring new lines appeal to our customers and resonate with the visitor experience and exhibitions at each of our sites.

You’ll need to be on the pulse. As a source of expert advice, you’ll be relied upon to keep up to date with current and emerging trends to drive through new initiatives that will keep improving our retail offering at every opportunity.

We place a great emphasis on UK manufacturing and you will look to build and maintain a core base of suppliers in all product areas. Working closely with each supplier, you’ll ensure all trade is in line with our ethical and sustainable standards.

You'll also collaborate and build strong relationships with colleagues across the Retail department to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and all products are consistent with our style and brand. And you’ll monitor our sales, continuously looking for new opportunities to improve performance.

Creative thinking will be key, and you’ll be encouraged to grow your expertise, whilst developing our product range.

And knowing you play an integral part in an exceptional retail service will motivate you to deliver the exceptional.

Degree educated, with significant experience in buying/product development in a multi-site retail organisation, you’re commercially savvy, looking for a new challenge and ready to make an impact.

Highly creative and with knowledge of retail trends, you’re able to consistently identify new avenues to grow our retail offering.

Organised and detail focused, and aware of lead times, you're able to prioritise and deliver projects to tight deadlines.

As a confident communicator you’ll thrive on working in a team and be at ease maintaining and building relationships with a variety of internal and external colleagues.

With strong numeracy and analytical skills, you're confident evaluating sales performance and the effectiveness of our retail range. Furthermore, you’ll be a strong decision maker, able to act on the results to drive our future performance.

Above all you’ll have a customer focus in all you do, and you’ll take every opportunity to use your passion for retail and deliver the exceptional.
