In terms of both quality and diversity, the Royal Collection is breath-taking. The Conservation Team's challenge is to care for, preserve and restore this unique collection for the future.

As part of our team at Marlborough House Workshops, you'll gain practical experience in a wide range of conservation activities for our collection of ceramics and decorative art.

You'll learn various traditional techniques, covering assembling, filling, retouching and preparation. You'll also assist with drafting reports and determine your own treatment options for ceramics and decorative surfaces.

You'll develop an understanding of our conservation and curatorial management systems and have the opportunity to gain an insight into a specific area of conservation responsibility through individual project work.

And with the chance to benefit from the expertise of Conservators in our Works of Art section, you’ll be able to grow your skills in an exciting environment where development and training is commonplace.

With a keen interest in Conservation and the Royal Collection, you're exactly who we're looking for.

You already have experience in rebuilding structural elements and have a good knowledge of how to restore some ceramics, including painted and decorative surfaces.

A confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What's more, you're extremely organised, and your attention to detail will be second to none.

Above all, you're eager to immerse yourself in the unique learning opportunities that the collection presents.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to use your passion for Conservation and enthusiastic approach to develop new skills and take the next step in your career.
