It's supporting the team who bring the future closer to history

It's feeling proud of the part you play. And it's the satisfaction of maintaining and caring for one of the world's largest collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

In terms of quality and diversity, the collection of objects in the Royal Collection is breathtaking.

Buckingham Palace is one of the most iconic buildings in the world. A ten-year programme of work is now underway to update the Palace's electrical cabling, plumbing and heating for the first time since the 1950's, protecting the future of this historic building.

As part of our Collections Information team, your challenge will be to support the decant of the East Wing of the palace for the first stage of the Reservicing Programme.

No matter the size or type of work of art, with your colleagues, you'll help ensure that the moves of over 4,000 items of the Collection are correctly documented and that the works are safely stored and transported to the correct destination.

Supporting with the inventory updating as well as condition checking required for a major move of works of art, you'll start to build a strong foundation of knowledge that will help build your career.

Collaborating with project managers and contractors you'll be integral to the smooth running of the programme of works.

And helping to preserve this fascinating collection will inspire you to deliver exceptional work.

You'll have a relevant degree, and experience in documentation for a large art collection. What's more, you'll be eager to work on this unique project to develop your career.

You'll also have a real eye for detail, along with experience of collection database systems and other relevant IT programs.

You'll be highly organised able to plan effectively and manage records for the diverse Collection items which will be moved.

With a proactive attitude, you're able to motivate yourself and maintain concentration, even when it comes to repetitive tasks.

A confident communicator, you'll collaborate effectively with team members and colleagues who are specialists in their own field.

And as a natural team player, you'll enjoy working with colleagues across the organisation to achieve excellent results.

This is your opportunity to combine your knowledge of works of arts with your proactive approach to deliver the exceptional.
