It's bringing people closer to a fascinating past

It’s becoming part of something special. And it’s the satisfaction of presenting one of the world’s greatest art collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

Unique in both quality and diversity, the Royal Collection has a fascinating history, and our Learning Section is responsible for sharing its stories with the broadest possible audience in ways that engage, surprise and inspire.

Joining our enthusiastic team, you'll coordinate the delivery of our Family Learning programme at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

You’ll organise learning sessions including art workshops, handling sessions or storytelling, as well as one-off events throughout the calendar year. You'll prepare and produce accompanying interpretive resources and ensure that every learning event is a success, engaging our family audiences with the Collection and historic Palace.

Supporting the Learning Curator, you’ll research and develop inspiring learning activities for all ages, and identify new opportunities for audience development, whilst helping to ensure all content is of the highest quality.

Collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners alike, you'll also produce promotional material including content for our website and social media channels, taking every opportunity to enhance the profile and range of our families learning offer.

And in everything you do, you'll seek new ways to bring the splendour of the Royal Collection alive.

With previous experience of delivering successful learning programmes, ideally within a museum, gallery or heritage environment, and a real interest in the collection, you're exactly who we're looking for.

With your creativity and innovative approach, you're able to develop immersive learning programmes and resources for family audiences.

And as an excellent communicator, you enjoy engaging with a range of people, and are able to build collaborative working relationships with external partners and internal colleagues alike.

It's a fast paced environment, so you'll need to be organised and able to prioritise well in order to meet tight deadlines.

What's more, you're a real team player, and can work flexibly in order to support your colleagues.

Above all, you have a passion for imparting and making specialist knowledge accessible to family visitors.

This is your opportunity to use your ability to inspire curiosity and your enthusiasm to deliver the exceptional.
