As a creative and collaborative media relations professional, you'll produce standout campaigns to attract and inspire new audiences for our ambitious exhibition, publishing and learning programmes.

You'll seek out opportunities to secure positive coverage of our activities through regional, national and international media and across the print, broadcast and online sectors. And you'll work alongside our Marketing team to ensure that all communications activities are fully integrated in order to achieve maximum impact. 

In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you'll have a busy and varied workload, responding to media enquiries, researching and writing press releases, commissioning film content, managing press events and developing your network of contacts. 

In all you do you'll help us find the best opportunities to get our message across.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and with substantial experience in media relations roles, ideally in the arts or cultural heritage sector, you're exactly who we need and can hit the ground running.  

With a strong network of media contacts, you can demonstrate that you've delivered significant coverage across a variety of media channels and have experience of managing broadcast projects.

A confident networker with exceptional interpersonal skills, you're able to develop effective relationships with a wide range of people at all levels.

Outstanding written communication skills are absolutely vital, together with the ability to identify storylines and produce engaging content for a variety platforms and audiences.

With excellent organisational skills, you can manage conflicting priorities and challenging deadlines without compromising standards.

With initiative and drive and excellent judgement, you'll proactively contribute new ideas and help to shape the Press Office's strategy.

And, in a challenging and varied role, you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop your communications skills.
