The Information Assurance team ensures the Royal Household's information is securely and correctly maintained, from the Royal Archives to the latest IT systems.

Your challenge will be to ensure information meets the operational needs of the working Household, as well as all accountability requirements and archival purposes. Every day you will be visible across the organisation, advising colleagues and embedding a growing culture of awareness.

You'll help to anticipate and assess information and cyber security risks. As a trusted advisor, you'll bring your expertise to large scale projects across the organisation. You'll provide training, and proactively ensure information risk is considered in infrastructure and systems changes, projects and third party services. Following the Information Security principles of availability, integrity and confidentiality, you'll deliver the highest level of service on every occasion.

With a relevant qualification in either information management, records management or information security (for example, IMIS, CISSP); you're the expert we need.

You'll be knowledgeable when it comes to best practice in managing information security and IT risk, including business analysis and cyber security, preferably with experience of ITIL and ISO27001 processes.

Project management experience based on Prince2 or APMP will be a big advantage.

A natural collaborator, you'll combine your communication and influencing skills, with your technical expertise, to become a truly trusted advisor to the organisation.

You’ll be well practiced at exercising initiative, working with minimal supervision and effectively prioritising workload in order to balance proactive and reactive demands.

Leading a small team, you'll know how to manage, develop and inspire others to deliver exceptional support and customer service.

Experienced in report writing, with an ability to review complex information systems and web applications, you'll also be confident in identifying risks and recommending solutions.

What's more, you'll know how to translate your significant technical knowledge for a wider audience, to engage and embed a culture of IA across the organisation.
