The Gardens team at Windsor Castle care for and present gardens that are seen by thousands of visitors and guests every year.

Joining this small team of qualified gardeners, you'll help ensure the Royal Gardens and surrounding areas of Windsor Castle are maintained to an exceptional standard.

You’ll keep the lawns in top condition, from regular mowing and edging, to scarification, re-seeding and top dressing.

You'll also maintain the shrub, herbaceous and rose borders,monitor the health of plants, and nurture the growth of young trees and shrubs.

And you'll help to shape the future of the gardens, planting new shrubbery, bulbs and seasonal flower displays, ensuring they continue to provide a worthy setting for a magnificent historic building, as well as high profile events.

You’ll aim for perfection and learn from expert colleagues. And the results of your work will be seen, and admired, by a world-wide audience.

A passion for horticulture is a must, and along with relevant experience and a good working knowledge of plants and turf care, you're exactly who we're looking for.

A minimum qualification of Level 2 RHS General Certificate (or similar) will be essential, as is a clean UK driving licence, and experience operating a wide range of garden machinery.

We’re a busy team, so self-discipline and time management skills are vital. Working closely with colleagues will be important to you, and you'll have the skills to communicate with a range of people.

With initiative and a confident approach, you'll also be keen to research and explore new ideas for developing the gardens and grounds.

And overall, in all that you do, you'll take great pride in your work and will be motivated to present gardens to exceptional standards. .

You will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility - to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch provided, training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities. In addition, as this is a live-in role, you will be provided with accommodation, for which your salary will be adjusted.
