It's drafting a letter that someone will never forget.

It's working in a team with a shared and unique purpose, engaging with the public whilst supporting The Queen's role. This is what makes working for The Royal Household so exceptional.

Thousands of letters addressed to The Queen are received each year. Working as part of the Correspondence Unit, your challenge will be to ensure that each and every one receives a timely and well composed response.

Every day you will respond to letters sent by the public regarding political, social or community matters, drafting bespoke responses to answer varying and often unique queries.

Recording and monitoring all correspondence, you'll be proud of the number of letters you handle and this will drive you to deliver consistently high standards.

In this way, you will help to support the important work of The Queen and The Royal Family.

With previous administrative experience, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proactive, with lots of initiative, you'll be capable of processing a large volume of correspondence and you are well organised in your approach to your daily work.

With an awareness of Government developments and changes, you enjoy keeping up-to-date with current affairs.

You'll need to be confident drafting letters, and using your established IT skills to meet strict deadlines.

And possessing a keen eye for detail, you'll always deliver work with faultless accuracy.

Above all, you will enjoy working collaboratively with your team, and be eager to use your experience in a truly unique environment.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) pro rata, an employer contribution pension scheme, lunch provided, with training and development, as well as a range of recreational facilities.
