It's enhancing our reach and promoting the Royal Family’s work.

This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

The Royal Communications team promotes the work, role, relevance and value of the Royal Family to a worldwide audience.

Joining this fast-paced and dynamic team, you'll have contact with Members of the Royal Family and their Private Offices, providing them with expert advice and briefings. You’ll also have contact with all sectors of the media as well as other industries, including organisations and charities with which Members of the Royal Family have involvement.

You’ll lead on specific communications for Principals and other key areas including the relationship with the Commonwealth and major events. In addition to generating public engagement and coverage across media platforms, you will manage the news flow to the media, ensuring our work is widely, accurately and positively reported.

Although based primarily at Buckingham Palace, you'll also travel in the UK or overseas to support important visits and engagements.

The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all that you do.

Whether conducting media briefings or providing advice on media strategies, you'll aspire to best practice and excellence in how we communicate both internally and externally.

You’ll have extensive experience of working within a busy, high-profile communications office, preferably at a management level, and have excellent editorial judgement.

Leading by example, you’ll be able to supervise and develop colleagues, and use excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships, influence stakeholders and establish credibility.

Your ability to prepare and lead strategic communication projects will be key in this role, as will your knowledge of media and digital platforms.

It's a busy and fast-paced environment. You'll need strong diplomatic skills and the ability to work across international boundaries.

Self-motivated and proactive, you'll collaborate with colleagues whilst also inspiring confidence and providing real value.

This is your opportunity to get involved in once-in-a-lifetime projects and deliver the exceptional.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days holiday per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a 15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for flexibility to increase contributions or draw down as salary) and support for your continued professional development.
